March 2026
RMC Amity Point Escape
Thursday 5th March – Sunday 8th March, 2026
The RMC Amity Point Escape 2026 is an easygoing boating weekend focused on good company, relaxed cruising, and time spent on the water.
We’ll depart as a group on Thursday from the top of Sovereign Islands, standing by on VHF Channel 72. The cruise across is unhurried, with boats generally heading toward Myora or Deanbilla. Once everyone arrives and settles in, the afternoon usually leads into beach sundowners and a casual get-together to kick off the weekend.
Friday is a flexible, low-key day. Some boats will head to the sandbank, others may explore nearby areas, relax onboard, or catch up with friends. There’s no set agenda — do as much or as little as you like and enjoy the location at your own pace.
Saturday is the main social day. We’ll meet on the middle sandbank for a full day of prawns, games, swimming, and plenty of time to relax and socialise. Saturday night is a free night, whether that’s boat hopping and chatting with friends or staying aboard your own boat on anchor.
Sunday is a leisurely cruise home, lining up with the tide for a smooth run back to the Gold Coast.
A great weekend, good people, and no pressure — just boating the way it should be.
