Privacy Policy for RMC Member App

1. Introduction R Marine Crawley (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the RMC Member App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application and sign in via Google OAuth.

2. Information We Collect When you sign in using your Google Account, we request access to:

  • Email Address: Used as your unique identifier to manage your membership.

  • Basic Profile Info: Including your name and profile picture to personalise your app experience.

3. How We Use Your Data We use the information obtained through Google OAuth solely to:

  • Identify you as a valid R Marine Crawley member.

  • Provide access to member-only content and features.

  • Communicate with you regarding app updates or boat service notifications.

  • Transparency: We do not use your Google data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security Your data is stored securely and handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your information during transit and at rest.

5. Data Disclosure We do not share your Google user data with any third-party applications or services, except where required by law.

6. Your Rights and Data Deletion You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Security Settings. To request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data from our systems, please contact us at mbrown@rmarinecrawley.com.au.  Additionally, in the app any user may navigate to their profile section of the app and ‘Delete’ their account entirely.
