The RMC Bunker & Kepplels Experience for 2021 consisted of 9 Riviera’s and departed on the 23rd Sept till the 4th October.
The definite highlights of this trip would have been Lady Musgrave Island. An incredible day of snorkelling in the crystal clear blue waters combined earlier in the day with many watersports.
We took the new toy, called a Fliteboard.
‘Fliteboarding’ is basically surfing without wind or waves and proved highly addictive as the learning stages peel away rapidly as users go from kneeling to standing and turning very quickly.
Other watersports such as kayaking, and oh the Pool. We have to mention the other new addition to the watersports activities on this trip. RMC purchased a new Funair product called a ‘Lagoon Pool’. The pool is an ultra compact and lightweight netted sea pool designed to the be the lightest and most inflatable yacht pool to deploy and return. Chill, relax and play as our guests who tendered over to our 565 SUV crew boat did. If you are interested in any of our watersports products we have a brand new division and headed up to our newly hired Watersports Specialist, Ally Hodge. Please get in touch with Ally and she can certainly advise and help you out when selecting toys to enchanted your boating lifestyle.

The journey continued onto the Keppels following Lady Mulgrave and along the way taking in some awesome whale watching. The group of Riviera’s moved in and anchored off Fishermans Beach chilling on our own boats before the following night where we all met at the Keppel Island Hideaway as a group for Pina Colada Sundowners and dinner. The days spent at Fisherman’s Beach lazing on the beach or the back of our boats and a beach BBQ on the second day.
After departing Fishermans Beach anchorage we then travelled across to Rosslyn Bay where boats were refuelled & a group dinner at the renowned, ‘Beaches Restaurant’ took place where new friendships formed and boating stories shared.
After departing Keppel Bay Marina the following day, the destination was Pancake Creek which is always a favourite spot. The tender cruise was epic as the sprint start set the tone for the experience this afternoon. It was great fun as our little boats navigated among the mangroves.
On the same afternoon, all guests joined together on the beach for the RMC Charity Auction to conclude the trip where a total amount of $15,000 was raised benefiting the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation.
The group departed the next day staying on the inside of Fraser Island close to the Wide Bay Bar where we waited for the right tide the following morning to cross the Bar and make the passage home to the Gold Coast.
