Boating has been part of Ben’s life for as long as he can remember—it’s more than a passion; it’s a family tradition. Weekends, birthdays and holidays have always been spent on the water, creating a lifetime of memories. One of his favourites was sailing a Holland 46 through the Whitsundays at just 15 years old. Having started sailing at the age of 11, Ben has enjoyed adventures on the water both throughout Australia and overseas.
Ben’s connection to the marine industry runs deep. His grandfather established the first marina at Runaway Bay in 1987—the very site where R Marine Crawley proudly operates today—and was instrumental in founding the local air-sea rescue service. Today, Ben is proud to continue that family legacy while also looking after many of the long-standing clients who first worked with his father.
As a luxury motor yacht broker, Ben assists clients through every stage of the buying and selling process, from preparing and marketing a vessel through to negotiations, handover and ongoing support. However, it’s the relationships he builds that truly set him apart. Known for his honesty, approachable nature and quick sense of humour, Ben believes that boating should be enjoyable from the very first conversation. His clients appreciate his straightforward advice, genuine care and willingness to always make time for a chat, whether they’re buying their first motor yacht or their fifth.
